♥ Franken - 'Debt Free' Nail art W/ 'Last Mortgage Payment' ♥

~ Debt Free' Nail art W/ 'Last Mortgage Payment' ~

Awwwww I was sad to take this one off...... I actually managed to do a decent job applying the 'mailing labels' guide diagonally across my nails =all 5 uniformly= then paint them... just a few teensie mistakes, but I knew I would be adding some embellishments. I got these cute little stars with a set of false toe-nails at an awesome store in Burlington Ontario, at X-mas ...sooo cute ( the one star on my pinky w/the black outline is from a different batch of stickers I am trying out )

~♥~

'Last Mortgage Payment' is the polish I was wearing in my previous post, I cut mailing labels ( easy to remove & no gooey residue ) in 5 cm-ish strips and affixed diagonally to my nails, slapped on a coat of one of my newer Frankens 'Debt Free', waited for it to dry ( like 5 min) then affixed star stickers on the diagonal line added 2 coats of Billie 'Clear Polish', and Viola.

'Debt Free' is beautiful in the bottle and in the sunlight - but it is pretty dark. It is one of those polish's that you have to be very close to to see the shimmery effect. I created this with Sally Hansen 'Radish' & Sally Hansen ' Candy Lace'. I made a mistake by starting with a dark color and tried to lighten it. When I franken again ( which will be soon ) I will definitely start with a light base then add color/pigment to make it dark = way easier. I do not think I will be doing a full mani with 'Debt Free' as I will be tweaking it to be a little different then it is now. I also created another franken that looks very similar to this ( my next post ) so I will 'jazz' this up and then post.... eventually.

Anyhoo- here is a bunch of photos of 'Debt Free' & 'Last Mortgage Payment' I like the tone-on-tone look better than contrasting colors.

♥ Franken - 'Last Mortgage Payment' ♥

~Franken 'Last Mortgage Payment w/ China Glaze Fast Forward ~
( -in the shade- )

This is the Exact color I was trying to make, and I created exactly what I wanted. I am very proud♥. The application of this one was fabulous!!!!!! It was very easy to work with and dried fast. I am not sure how to label this, it does have shimmer in it, but it also appears to be a creme..... so a 'creme-shimmer', possibly? My mind is set on fixing up several polish's I have that are too runny or too liquid-eee and sheer, they are gonna get some 'pigment' (body shimmer) thrown in them. This one I whipped up with Sally Hansen 'Radish', then added some Caboodels Body Shimmer and then Sally Hansen Maximum Growth in White ( older polish ). Viola! This is very, very opaque & applied soooooo well and is a very pretty color. 2 coats & 2 coats of T.C.

Does everyone love the millions of photo's I add to my blog. My computer was running a little slow so my D.H. suggested that i should possibly get rid of some photos....I ended up deleting over 7.42 GB of photos!!!!!! That is a redonk amount....... and 95% were nail photos! There was really no reason to keep nail pic's once I post them, but I had one lonely file of my nail related photography that I would toss ALL photos into = I never imagined it would add up with THAT MANY. I take the macro& most defined photo's for maximum enlargement, and those take up alot of space, hopefully it does not impact the viewing of my blog. I am really enjoying photographing and then picking out the ones I think are the best to post, but from now on -I will delete them soon after... I don't really need them for anything. And, it ended up that I did not install the new Internet Explorer so that's why things were a little slow, so I really didn't need to delete them, but 7.42 GB ( GB is the 2nd biggest one right... then terabyte TB is the big, big one right? ) ♥

Anyhoo- onto the photo's. All outside in the sun and shade.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Three frankens I have made with S.H. Radish & awesome square bottles w/good brushes. I Still cannot locate empty bottles like this to purchase (with 'normal' brush's)...... These are from the "Party Toez" by Fing'rs I have rounded up. I emptied and rinsed them with acetone, added ballz and whipped up these pretties. One day I will find and order square empty bottles like this.... hundreds of them, maybe even thousands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

♥ " D.I.N.K." - RECAP ♥

 D.I.N.K. w/2 coats of Billie 'Clear Polish' ~

A quick recap to save you from millions of photos. This, is D.I.N.K = Double Income, No Kids. A Shiny Mani and a Matte Mani. This is sooooo beautiful with shiny-ness; and just as lovely matte. I used an inexpensive body shimmer and mixed it with Sally Hansen 'Radish' till I got the color I liked. These polish's that are mixed with crushed up eye-shadow or pigments or whatever, dry quickly and must be applied fast! If you need to see more photos, my 2 previous posts are bursting at the seams with D.I.N.K. photos. I am shamelessly immature with this one.......

♥ D.I.N.K. ~ T.O.T.M-W. ♥

My Latest Frankenpolish = D.I.N.K...... Double Income No Kids.... I have named my latest crop of Frankens after female positive things, well...... just positive things to look forward to as we 'grow-up'. This turned out lovely, it is a deep rich purple with shimmer. I made those with Sally Hansen 'Radish' and some old-time-eeee Caboodels (memba those) body shimmer that i scored for .50 cents at a local dollar store (SCORE). It is just a plain silver/white shimmer shimmery powder.

NOTE; shoud you decide to do some frankening... my gosh, do it outside away form everything, there is shimmer EVERYWHERE= I have ruined 2 clear top coats and another creme polish.....IT GOES EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! I imagine pigment's and other things are somewhat as problematic, too.

Because of the body shimmer I added, this is a matte polish. It dried very fast and by the time I got to to the last few nails and toe-nails, there was some serious lumpy-ness going on. Next time I use this I will take breaks and put the brush back in the bottle to prevent it from drying out too much. I can get 1 coat coverage out of this, and don't find it too hard to control, it's just practice and not letting the polish that is on the brush 'dry-out' too much.

Here, on my nails I have 1 coat of D.I.N.K. and 2 coats of China Glaze Fast Forward, My toes are just D.I.N.K.... I have a full post of my nails with D.I.N.K. coming up.

♥ T.O.T.W. - 'Last Car Payment' ♥

~♥~
So I am naming all my recent frankens after female positive things..... Hopefully there is no cosmetic or nail polish line out there with names like.... Mortgage Free, Double Income, No Kids, You Go Girl, etc..... well maybe not so much 'You Go Girl' but along the lengths of that, things in our lives to look forward to I suppose.....

~♥~

I had an empty bottle of Billie 'Clear' and just poured some Sally Hansen Radish and Sally Hansen Root Deep in it ans shook it up and Viola! I call this one ' Last Car Payment. To me it looks like a deep blood red with lots of shimmer from within. I think that I will soon be making a silver foil red with this Sally Hansen 'Root Deep' polish. I shoulda bought two of these 'Root Deep' polish's. Here is a post I did a few months ago with just Sally Hansen 'Root Deep'

I got so enchanted with creating these that I did not keep a tally of what quantities.... I loooove this red (Root Deep.... I know, I know ) it is soooo bright and glow-ey and cheerful. I am finding myself drawn more and more to these types of reds lately.... So I would say, 75% red and 25% purple.....

I had fixed the "Macro-Mode" on my camera and now I have somehow fudged it up again. I think I will name one of these new frankens "I Finally Fixed The Macro-Mode... For Good", I swear to goodness, its irritating. I can still use the 'Flower' setting, which is macro mode, but cannot take flash photos this way! Ugggghhhhh! Oh well. Also I did a little photo-shop... well hopefully you do not notice.

I found it extremely difficult to take quality photos of my toes today, without the beautiful sunshine and my camera issues. However on a positive note I had been wearing this polish for almost 5 days with only 1 little chip on my Left ring-finger toe.... ( is that right ? ) Any-hoo- onto the photos, all taken on an overcast muggy/humid day.

L to R; Sally Hansen 'Radish' (I know, I know ) Sally Hansen 'Root Deep' (I know, I know ), and the lovely Franken I named 'Last Car Payment'.

♥ Yucky-ies ♥

I pretty much say that I love every polish I wear ==== or see on other blogs, I loooove colr - so they sincerely are beautiful , however these 4 polish's are just not up to par for me, they are pretty and are unique but just are not working out. We can still be friends, except 'Peanut Shell'.

This first polish, Maybelline 'Bronze Beam' I had hoped would be a fine copper glitter in a mid-copper base, but instead it was a very grainy glitter..... with ALOT of texture, While it is a very pretty color, I think I needed 3 medium to thick coats of T.C. to get it smoothe, it really is a weird texture. I do not foresee myself doing a full mani with this any time soon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This polish is Sally Hansen 'Peanut Shell', which belonged to a collection of polish's that Sally Hansen named after " thing's underground", or something like that. I have recently used all of this in my purple batch of frankens, it came in handy. It was a very pretty color but just too close to my skin tone.... and I would likely never wear it. I purchased it for $ 1.25 at a small pharmacy in my town, I have already used all of this polish, and the bottle & ballz in my recent Franken polish's.....
Goodbye 'Peanut Shell' Thanks for everything.
This polish, 'Emerald Water' is one of those super-duper sheer polish's from Maybelline that came out in the late 90's. I purchased it in anticipation to thin out my 'Antique' Maybelline polish's, if necessary. So far so good. I remember painting my nails with these in the store ( yes, I did that ) and was mystified as to why anyone would paint there nails with this.... this looks so sheer...... weird, I wonder if it co-incided with some Earth Day or Green Peace deal = That was big in the mid to late 90's.
I saw on a few other nail blogs that using these ridiculously sheer polish over a rich silver looked really, really pretty, and I did try that but after 4 COATS there really was not enough color to make a difference.
Also, I find this looks blue, not at all emerald. Maybe someone fell asleep at the nail polish labeling masheen, again ?
Finally, we have Ghetto-Ghetto Fabulous. I have this 'Viva' brand polish in black as well, and I am certain that this is Auto body paint just in a tiny bottle. Sometimes it gives off the aroma of standing water in a creek or bog, but mostly I can detect the scent of an Auto body paint booth. Of some photos I have seen , this sorta looks like Misa Ghetto Fabulous, though I have never seen that polish first hand. These photos of Ghetto-Ghetto Fabulous were taken during an overcast day. Definitely a polish that should be used out side. I think it's a pretty color and plan on a full Mani soon with some Sunshine Pic's .
